My dearly loved friend, mother in Jesus and Mary you are so missed at this very moment I did not receive any news of your home going Sister M&M. Now my last friend on earth has gone home to be with her beloved Bridegroom and Mary Matthew you are fully Jesus Bride in heaven and on earth as well. I have missed you and Francis more then any words can say. I will see you one day in heaven with Jesus and Mary our beloved Mother.
Sr. Mary Matthew was an example of Christ love to humankind who has no discrimination of any race. I believed strongly that she is resting in the bosom of her father and creator. She was a lovely and religious person. We Nigeria Sisters who knew her in Anacortes loved her and miss her greatly....... She has gone all the way to Heaven. May her kind and loving soul continue rest in the peace of Christ --- her Spouse.....Good bye and good night Sister Mary Matthew our good mother.
We couldn't believe it. The sisters of St. Joseph of Peace are all buried in rows at Holyrood. So Sister is buried next to the Sister that recently died, Sister Noreen, one of the Sister's that witnessed the baby falling from the top balcony that Sister wrote about in her book, "Angels and the Power of Prayer". As we neared the site where she was to be buried, we were looking at the dates to find Sister Mary Francis, who died in 1997. Low and behold, when we found it, it was just two rows away from Sister Mary Matthew!
One witness account: Trish B. met Sister Mary Matthew and Sister Mary Francis while on Pilgrimage with them. Afterwards she invited them to play tennis and the two raced across the courts, veils flying! Then she told of the time she took Sister and myself out on her boat on Lake Washington. We were going fast, and Sister’s veil was again flying, but then she made the mistake of asking Sister if she wanted to drive the boat. Sister loves speed! And then her veil was really flying! (I had told her that someone had a vision of Sister being shot to heaven and her veil was flying out behind her).
The door over my gas cap has been sticking lately. You can only open it by pulling a lever inside the car and lately I have to pull it several times and then the door only opens a crack - just enough to get the tip of my finger under. If the door won't open, well, I won't be able to get gas.
Yesterday I went to get gas and I forgot to pull the lever before I got out of the car. I was walking toward the gas pumps and as I passed the door to the gas cap, it was open! Open two inches! It wasn't open before, as I have to pass it every time I get in the car and would have noticed if it hadn't been shut tight before. I felt that Sister had opened it for me and felt her presence very close to me after that. - kathy
