Parish Ministry of praying with people. It consists of 21 talks given by Sister Mary Matthew and Sister Mary Frances. It is like "Prayer Ministry 101" as it covers all aspects of the ministry.

Sister Mary Matthew
1928- 2013
Sister Mary Matthew celebrated her golden
anniversary as a Sister of St. Joseph of Peace. Sister has earned a B.A. in
Science and Education from Seattle University and a Masters in Theology and
Scripture from St. Mary's College, and has done doctoral work in Theology at
University of Notre Dame. She has also studied five languages and taken courses
in Pastoral Counseling. She taught for 15 years in various classrooms as teacher
and principal in the Archdiocese of Portland, Oregon. As a faculty member at
Seattle University she taught Theology to the CSJP Sisters. She has been a
Religious Education Coordinator in Bellevue, Mt. Vernon, Bellingham, and Port
Angeles in Washington State. She has also done Adult Education training and
catechetical missionary work among the native peoples of Alaska. Since 1975,
Sister Mary Matthew has been involved in training Healing Prayer Teams and in
ministering the love and light of Jesus to His people in the United States,
Canada, Trinidad, Australia, New Zealand and Mexico. She has written two books, Angels and the Power of Prayer and Thematic Approach to Scripture.
Kathy Flanagan Moore
Kathy Moore joined Sister
Mary Matthew in October 1997. She is a layperson and a mother of two sons. She
is also a teacher and author. Her book, Song of Hope, is about prayer and God's
love. Just before joining, she completed a three-year program of lay ministry
from the Sacramento Diocese. With Sister Mary Matthew, Kathy has traveled to
visit prayer teams in Alaska, Quebec, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, Yukon
Territory, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Trinidad, Mexico as well as the Western
States. At these places they have given retreats, seminars, talks on prayer,
forgiveness, healing relationships, and the love of God. In her own parish of
St. Mary in Anacortes, Kathy is a lector. She also assists in confirmation
classes, Faith Formation classes, and RCIA. They have also taught Vacation
Bible School at White Swan, Anacortes, Lummi and Mt. Vernon, WA. Kathy received
her Masters of Arts Degree in Theology from Catholic Distance University,
November, 2011.
